Introducing Our New Creative Strategist: Meet Amie Snow

Amie Snow

We’re thrilled to welcome Amie Snow to the Big Blue & You team as our Creative Strategist and Corporate Partnership Consultant. 🎉

Amie joins us with a powerful background in creative direction, brand storytelling, and cultural partnership-building. Born and rooted in both Britain and Barbados, her work lives at the intersection of identity, community, and impact and is a natural fit for Big Blue & You’s mission to inspire deeper, more joyful connections to the ocean.

From global agencies like Ogilvy London to founding BLK BELLY WORLD, Amie has spent over a decade shaping collaborations that shift culture and expand the narrative of who gets to lead, create, and belong. Now, she’s bringing that same bold, imaginative energy to ocean advocacy — helping us build partnerships that feel meaningful, creative, and rooted in community.

We are so excited for the perspective, depth, and heart she brings to our team. 💙

About Amie

Amie Snow is a British-Bajan Creative Director, partnerships strategist, and lifestyle creator with over a decade of experience building bold, culture-shifting collaborations. She began her career in advertising at Ogilvy London, developing global brand campaigns, before branching out to create BLK BELLY WORLD — a cultural movement celebrating creativity, community, and Caribbean diaspora identity. Amie’s work sits at the intersection of culture and impact, with a track record of developing meaningful brand partnerships that drive awareness and advocacy. From fashion and media to wellness and grassroots activations, she brings a unique ability to connect big-picture strategy with authentic storytelling.

What excites you most about joining Big Blue & You?

What excites me most is the chance to bring my partnerships background into a space that’s both deeply personal and still unfolding for me: ocean conservation. As Creative Partnerships Consultant, I’m eager to help BB&Y imagine bold collaborations — from product innovation to brand campaigns — that not only amplify the mission but make the ocean feel culturally relevant and accessible. Expanding our reach into the CARICOM region is especially meaningful, since Barbados is where my love for the ocean began and where my family roots are. I see this as an opportunity to bridge creativity, community, and conservation in new, inspiring ways.

What are some of the most meaningful collaborations you’ve worked on?

I’ve had the privilege of leading projects that prove creativity can spark real change:

  • World Afro Day: helping destigmatize Afro hair in the corporate world, which contributed to a US bill protecting Black and Brown women’s rights to wear their natural hair at work without discrimination.

  • Dove & Cartoon Network: developing a cartoon-style advert encouraging parents to talk with their children about self-esteem and mental wellbeing.

What I loved most about these collaborations was using creativity not just to tell stories, but to shift perspectives and create ripples of impact that lasted beyond the campaign itself. That’s the kind of energy I want to bring to BB&Y — harnessing culture and creativity to drive conservation forward.

Marine conservation can sometimes feel daunting. What gives you hope?

I’ll be honest — I’m still learning more about conservation every day through Danni and the Big Blue & You team. But that’s exactly what gives me hope: realizing that you don’t need to be a scientist or an expert to care, to take action, or to be part of the movement. Seeing young people, communities, and cultural leaders step up with creativity and consistency inspires me. I believe that when conservation is framed in ways people can connect with — through culture, storytelling, and everyday choices — it turns daunting challenges into collective action we can all feel part of.

Quick Facts

  • Favorite marine animal: Dolphins

  • Favorite hobby: Currently obsessed with golf , but art, music, and sailing will always be my anchors.

  • Favorite body of water: Folkestone Beach, Barbados

  • Go-to ocean conservation tip: Bring reusables to the beach — and follow Big Blue & You for even more tips and inspiration.

Welcome to the family, Amie. 💙🌊

We’re honored to have Amie join us in this next chapter of Big Blue & You’s journey. Her vision reflects the heart of our mission: that ocean conservation is for everyone and that culture, storytelling, and creativity are powerful tools for change.

Please join us in giving Amie a warm welcome to the Big Blue & You community! You’ll be seeing her voice and creativity reflected across our partnerships, brand collaborations, and future storytelling initiatives. ✨
